Join us this summer at The Silver Mountain Experience for a brand-new event! We love nature, and we thought we would get back to our ‘roots’ and invite a lucky few to enjoy an evening of Bushcraft and Backwoods cooking! The evening will start with a masterclass from our guide, who will talk you through a variety of survival techniques should you ever need them, before moving on to fire building and other Bushcraft accomplishments. Once the fire is burning, everyone is welcome to enjoy our delicious BBQ, before cooking desserts on an open fire, who doesn’t love a toasted marshmallow? To finish the evening off we have a variety of games set across the site, which you’ll have the run of as there will be no one else around! So, what are you waiting for? Suitable for over 8’s – anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an over 18.

The group will be 20 people and under. This doesn’t include hosts and trainers.
What facilities are available?
There will be toilets on-site, food will also be available at the BBQ and Backwoods Cooking. This is included as part of the event.
I have food allergies, can I still come?
You’ll need to make us aware at least 3 days before coming to the event should you have any specific dietary requirements, so we can make prior arrangements. Should you need to get in touch regarding this, please email info@saturnim.wwwnl1-ss6.a2hosted.com.
What will I need to wear?
Although it is summer, it is Wales, so prepare for it to get a bit chilly at night, and sturdy footwear.
Can we stay on-site?
Yes, we have camping available with basic facilities for only £5.00 per person. You will need to bring and pitch your own tent.

The Silver Mountain Experience is a fantastic family day out in mid-wales, filled with history, myth, legend and more. We are very proud of our Welsh Mining Heritage, and our site based in Ponterwyd, Aberystwyth, lies the beautifully preserved Llywernog silver-lead ore mine. Spend an afternoon exploring this historic site, experience one of our guided tours and more. Children can enjoy our Dragon's Tale adventure, with a new story for 2018, whilst those who are feeling brave can venture into the mines and take the dreaded Black Chasm tour. As well as all of this, we have a variety of other interactive attractions such as Time Lab and our creative den, so why not join us for an afternoon of fun, deep in the Welsh mountains!
