The Silver Mountain Experience and Cambrian Safaris have teamed together to provide a unique day out, encompassing a visit of history, myth and legend at the Silver Mountain Experience, with an exploration of the deep valleys, high viewpoints, farms, forests and old mines which make up the mysterious landscape of North Ceredigion, on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains.

The Silver Mountain Experience – Visit The Silver Mountain Experience, which includes our guided tour, A Miner’s Life, immersing you in the original and rare setting of our 250+ year old mine.

Cambrian Safari Tour – A personal 2.5 hour tour with Cambrian Safaris. Discover the rugged landscape of the local area in this Land Rover experience into the Cambrian Mountains and valleys near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion’s Uplands. You will encounter steep sided valleys, remote lakes, isolated farmsteads, Red Kites overhead, forestry, open moorland, steep back roads and rough tracks leading to breath-taking views. Our aim is to show you places you might not have found and to help you discover places you will want to explore more yourselves.

Itinerary

• 10am: Cambrian Safaris 2.5 hour tour, meeting at The Silver Mountain Experience
• 12.30pm: Lunch break and opportunity to purchase food from The Red Kite Café
• 1.45pm: Silver Mountain Experience visit, including the guided A Miner’s Life tour and surface attractions/self-guided exploration
