We can’t believe we are already at the end of our 2018 main season! Where has this year gone? It’s certainly been action packed, as we’ve had more events than ever before. As we look back, March saw us put on our first ever Heritage Weekend, which saw 100’s of visitors come up to visit us, with a variety of special talks, demonstrations and more. Due to its popular demand, we’re aiming to bring it back for 2019, so keep your eyes on our Social Media channels for information!
We had a ‘cracking’ time at Easter with our Easter Egg-stravaganza event! We also saw the introduction of our brand new Paranormal Investigations, where visitors are able to take a late-night exploration into the mines to hunt for the Paranormal. It was also great to see so many people taking advantage of our Local’s Month and seeing all of you enjoying our new story in A Dragon’s Tale! The summer was long and hot this year, and although we loved seeing the sun all the time, it was still nice and cool in our mines, which was some welcome relief!
After the summer, Halloween soon came around, where we welcomed many different monsters to The Silver Mountain Experience. We enjoyed having all the little devils at our Half Term Halloween event, and the big scary monsters at Terror Mountain 2018!
For the first time this winter, we are opening throughout the usual closed season, so you can come and explore our Museum, pop in for a Coffee or explore our Silver Mountain Experience shop, where we have a variety of great Christmas present ideas. Find out more HERE.
