This year at The Silver Mountain Experience, we are opening as usual throughout the winter! That means you can enjoy our guided tours, surface attractions and mining museum throughout the chilly winter months! Our Café and shop will also be open throughout too, so you can enjoy a hot chocolate or a spot of lunch in front of our roaring fire.
Please be aware that we are closed on most Mondays (excluding 23rd December) and also closed on the 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th & 31st December, as well as January 1st 2020. Head to our opening times page for further information.
Looking for some festive fun this Christmas? We’ve got sackloads of things to do during our Christmas at The Silver Mountain Experience event. Enjoy a trip into our Elves’ Workshop and Santa’s Grotto, as you get to meet the big man himself, and children also get a present if they are on the ‘good list’. You can also enjoy festive cookie decorating, Christmas crafts and our Christmas Reindeer Trail. We are also running our popular ‘A Dragon’s Tale’ and ‘A Miner’s Life’ tours, alongside our Santa’s Grotto. You’ll also get access to our surface attractions and our fascinating mining museum. So come and join us for some festive fun with the whole family this December! Our newly opened attraction Ultimate Xscape is open throughout the Winter season also, so if you’re looking for something to do on a miserable and raining afternoon, why not tackle one of our Escape Rooms? We’ve got Room 13 and Spellbound, 2 highly themed and immersive escape experiences, where you have 60 minutes to solve our clues and escape.
